Happy New Year to all!

Thanks to your help, Council 50 was able to continue our support of local charities during the Christmas Season. Together, we supported a family thru the Network Against Domestic Abuse, the Enfield Police Departments "Toy for Joy" program, and the E.H. Parkemn's "One Family/One Book" family reading program.

Our charitable work continues this month. On January 30th, Council 50 will be having a Steak Night, the proceeds from which will benefit the Connecticut National Guard Foundation. Tickets are $12 and are available at the bar thru January 28th. We have set a goal of raising $500 for the Connecticut National Guard Foundation, so please get your tickets early and enjoy a great meal for a great cause.

Can't make the steak night? Donation jars have been set up at the bar, so consider making a donation next time you are at the club.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Christmas Raffle a great success. Special thanks to our DGK Paul Cunningham for his generous donation.

Our Children's Christmas Party was held on January 20th with 24 children in attendance. I want to thank John O'Brien for doing a great job singing and entertaining us at the party and, of course, Bob Metzler for his guest appearance. Thanks also to our PGK's Rick Goulet and Bill Phillips for their help.

Thinking about making a donation to a charitable organization? Consider "Our Military Kids".  Donate Today.  www.ourmilitarykids.org/index.html
