Turkey Challenge - Thanks to all of you for your overwhelming support of our annual
turkey challenge! As you know this year's goal was 213 turkeys. I challenged you to beat
last year's impressive total with the reward being the chance to buzz your Grand Knight! The resposne was tremendous!
Council 50 donated to the Enfield Food Shelf in turkeys and cash the equivalent of 429 turkeys not to mention a variety of
non-perishable food items! So at our Knight Before Christmas Party on December 3rd, Linda Bridge, Executive Director
of the Enfield Food Shelf buzzed my head. Furthermore we raised $300 more for the Food Shelf by offering those present
the chance to get in on the action and remove my hair. To put this in perspective our donation represented approximately
2/3 of all turkeys needed for Thanksgiving and more than 1/3 of all turkeys contributed to the Food Shelf this year.
This ensures that all families served by the Food Shelf will be able to enjoy a traditional holiday meal on Thanksgiving and
Christmas. I am humbled and inspired by your effort and thank you for your incredible effort and charity. - Paul Cunningham
